The Man In The High Castle Season 3 casts Jason O’Mara

The third season of The Man In The High Castle is on the way, and the Amazon sci-fi series based on the Philip K Dick classic has added a new star in a leading role.

Deadline reports that TV veteran Jason O’Mara (Agents Of SHIELD, Terra Nova, that American Life On Mars remake that happened) has signed on to play a new series regular.

He’ll be starring as “the rugged Wyatt Price, a new male lead character opposite Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans and Rufus Sewell. Fleeing the war in Europe, Price’s family immigrated to New York from Ireland as refugees, then fled west again ahead of the Nazi invasion. Like most in the Neutral Zone, he’s learned to survive as a hustler, trading in various black market goods and services. But he’s more than just a survivor – he believes in what America was and what the Neutral Zone still is – a melting pot worth saving.”

Season Three has a new showrunner in Bosch veteran Eric Overmyer, and it was also recently announced that Michael Gaston (who plays hardware store-owning Mark Sampson) has been bumped to series regular after recurring in the first two seasons.

Meanwhile, veteran character actor William Forsythe (Things To In Denver When You’re Dead, Dick Tracy, Boardwalk Empire) will be playing J Edgar Hoover.

The Man In The High Castles Seasons 1 and 2 are available on Amazon Prime now. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
