The X-Files Season 11 UK broadcaster confirmed, will air in 2018

We recently discovered that the new season of The X-Files is right around the corner, with FOX announcing that the latest chapter in Mulder and Scully’s journey will air on 3 January in the US.

Now, Channel 5 has confirmed that it will air The X-Files Season 11 in the UK. Although the exact date has yet to be confirmed, it probably won’t be too long after if last year’s run was anything to go by.

VP of Acquisitions Katie Keenan said “We’re thrilled to confirm the return of The X-Files on Channel 5 in 2018.  The last series was a huge success with a legion of new fans enjoying this iconic and contemporised series.”

In addition to the return of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, the new season will star Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner, Annabeth Gish as Reyes, Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose as Agents Miller and Einstein, newcomers Karin Konoval, Barbara Hershey, Haley Joel Osment and, of course, William B. Davis as the Cigarette Smoking Man. Here’s the US poster:
