Netflix has become the home of Frozen and Beauty And The Beast star Josh Gad’s upcoming comedy Super-Normal, his latest venture into producing.
According to THR, Gad is producing the superhero film with Dan Lin (known for his work on Death Note and all four of the LEGO movies) and Jonathan Eirich of Lin Pictures. Aaron and Jordan Kandell, who worked on Moana, are writing the script.
Though Super-Normal is still in the very early stages, the cast list is already solid: Gad will be starring as well as producing, and he’ll likely be joined by his Murder On The Orient Express co-star Daisy Ridley and Beauty And The Beast co-star Luke Evans.
Evans also reportedly helped Gad pitch the latter’s idea for the film, and has signed up as an executive producer.
The film is “intended to be a character-driven, subversive take on a genre that Hollywood and the rest of the world loves so much,” writes THR.
