What We Do In The Shadows TV series is a go at Fox

Fox greenlights Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s What We Do In The Shadows TV series

Fantastic news for fans of vampires doing their best to live in a flat-sharing situation, as Fox has given a series order to Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s What We Do In The Shadows TV show.

Variety reports that the network has given the go-ahead to the pilot. The brilliant cast includes Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, and Harvey Guillen, and it will hit screens in the spring next year.

The first season will have ten episodes, and Clement and Waititi serve as creators and co-producers. They’re also still working on their We’re Wolves spin-off film as well as their TV series Wellington Paranormal.

While the original was set in Wellington, the series has been relocated to the US. “Set in New York City, the series follows three vampires who have been roommates for hundreds and hundreds of years.” The film is one of the funniest films in years and holds up beautifully to rewatches, so we can’t wait to see what they deliver with a TV show (and with a cast this funny).
