High Fliers acquire Curse of the Witch’s Doll

Lawrence Fowler’s Curse of the Witch’s Doll has been picked up by Pinewood-based High Fliers Films, in a pre-Cannes deal for all UK rights.

The feature debut of Wales-born Lawrence Fowler, Curse of the Witch’s Doll was shot in Northampton, and like David de Coteau’s Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge (1991), Andrew Jones’ The Toymaker (2017) and The Revenge of Robert the Doll (2018), it is a ‘possessed doll’ supernatural horror with a Second World War setting.

You can read the synopsis for the film here:

Adeline Gray’s attempt to escape bombing in her home town leads her to a derelict, creepy manor in the woods. When Adeline’s young daughter goes missing during a game of hide-and-seek, a series of inexplicable events lead her to believe a haunted doll holds a vengeful soul; the soul of a murdered Witch. As Adeline’s desperate search for her daughter continues, it soon becomes clear; to have any hope of being reunited, she must defeat the curse of The Witch’s Doll.

It stars Helen Cravell, Michelle Archer, Claire Carreno and, in her feature debut, Layla Watts. Expect a UK release date to be announced soon.
