The comic book movie Bloodshot is putting a pretty great cast together
The first of Sony’s movies based on Valiant comics is well underway, and the Vin Diesel-starring adaptation of Bloodshot has found three more stars.
Variety reports that Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon, Underworld), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver, From Dusk Till Dawn) and Sam Heughan (Outlander) have signed on to join the Fast & Furious star in the movie “about a mortally wounded soldier resurrected with cutting-edge nanotechnology and tasked with rounding up superpowered outcasts known as ‘harbingers.’” There’s no word on who any of these three will be playing.
Dave Wilson (Tim Miller’s studio partner) is making his directorial debut, while Eric Heisserer (Arrival) is writing the script. The film is reportedly looking to shoot this summer, and Sony has an eye on turning this into a franchise. Will it be a Furious-style hit for Diesel, or will it go the way of The Last Witch Hunter? Only time will tell….
