Disney’s Maleficent 2 has added some more cast members
Disney’s upcoming sequel Maleficent 2 has officially entered production. Aurora actor Elle Fanning marked the occasion with this cute Instagram post, featuring Angelina Jolie (Maleficent):
Additionally, the film has also just announced some last minute casting, including Harris Dickinson (Beach Rats) as Prince Philip and Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years A Slave, Serenity) and Robert Lindsay (My Family, Spy) in unspecified roles.
They will be joining other new cast members Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith and Ed Skrein as an unnamed villain, as well as returning stars Fanning, Jolie, Sam Riley (Diaval), Juno Temple (Thistlewit), Lesley Manville (Flittle) and Imelda Staunton (Knotgrass).

A fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora, Maleficent IIcontinues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.
