Hans Zimmer joining Conversations with Screen Composers series at Royal Albert Hall


The Royal Albert Hall has just announced that the brilliant Hans Zimmer will be the next composer to join the BAFTA Conversations with Screen Composers series.

The special ‘in conversation’ event will see Zimmer take to the stage at the Hall’s 150-capacity Elgar Room for an intimate chat about his career scoring films like Interstellar, the Dark Knight trilogy, Pirates Of The Caribbean and Kung Fu Panda, as well as non-genre hits like Rain ManMy Beautiful LaundretteGladiatorDunkirkThelma And Louise and more.

Zimmer is the latest in a list of renowned film composers to appear at the event series, after Clint Mansell, John Powell, James Horner, James Newton Howard and Michael Giacchino.

Head of Programming at the RAH Mehdi Aoustin-Sellami said: “We’re ecstatic to be able to welcome one of the biggest and most influential names in cinema to the Hall for a rare and revealing chat about his musical inspirations, his creative process and his remarkable career.”

The event, on Wednesday 11 July at 7:30pm, is presented by BAFTA and the Royal Albert Hall, in association with PRS for Music, and will be hosted by Tommy Pearson.
