Josh Holloway sci-fi Colony has been cancelled after three seasons
For anyone wondering why USA Network’s sci-fi drama Colony wasn’t at Comic-Con, there’s some bad news.
Deadline reports that the show, created by Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal, has been cancelled and that the upcoming Season Three finale will serve as the conclusion to the series.
Colony starred Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies and got off to a strong start in the ratings. However, the site reports that there has been a steady “erosion” in those numbers over the course of the three seasons until it became the network’s lowest rated show, and and they’ve decided to pull the plug.
“In the wake of a mysterious alien invasion, a family fights to stay together in a new world order. The third season of COLONY begins six months after the Bowmans’ escape from the Los Angeles bloc as Will (Josh Holloway) and Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies) struggle to rebuild their family in the world beyond the walls. When their peaceful existence is shattered, they are sent on an odyssey that will finally reveal the horrifying truth behind Earth’s mysterious occupiers and once again force our heroes to choose sides.”
Colony Season Three will air on Sky One. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
