You can’t unsee the new trailer for Slender Man
A new trailer has arrived for the controversial upcoming horror movie Slender Man, which is still set to be released on 24 August. Give it a look…
The first trailer arrived some time ago and triggered a huge backlash, drawing criticism for seeming to profit off the real-life tragedy that followed the meme’s creation. However, despite rumours that Sony was looking to offload the film (which Variety put down to differences of agreement over marketing strategy rather than the reaction to the trailer), Slender Man is coming.
“In a small town in Massachusetts, four high school girls perform a ritual in an attempt to debunk the lore of SLENDER MAN. When one of the girls goes mysteriously missing, they begin to suspect that she is, in fact, HIS latest victim.”
The film stars Joey King, Jaz Sinclair, Annalise Basso, Julia Goldani-Telles and Javier Botet. Sylvain White directs from a screenplay by David Birke.
Slender Man is released on 24 August. Keep up with the latest horror news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
