Hans Zimmer is returning to the DCEU to score Wonder Woman 1984
The composer behind Wonder Woman’s badass Batman V Superman guitar motif has got the Amazon covered again: Hans Zimmer is returning to the DCEU to compose Wonder Woman 1984. He will be taking over from Rupert Gregson-Williams, who wrote the score for the first Wonder Woman film.
Zimmer’s involvement is interesting, given the fact that he said he had “retired” from superhero films in 2016. However, Wonder Woman 1984 is the second superhero film his name has since been attached to, after X-Men: Dark Phoenix. He clearly can’t stay away.
Wonder Woman 1984 is being directed by Patty Jenkins from a screenplay by herself, Dave Callaham and Geoff Johns. It will be set in the Eighties, and star Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal in an undisclosed role.
Wonder Woman 1984 is in cinemas from 15 November 2019. Get all the latest superhero news with every issue of SciFiNow.
