Castlevania’s Adi Shankar reportedly in talks to produce Legend Of Zelda TV series

Castlevania producer Adi Shankar is reportedly working on a Legend Of Zelda TV show

Castlevania‘s Adi Shankar is reportedly in talks to produce a TV series based on the Legend Of Zelda video game franchise, according to TheWrap.

Earlier this week, Shankar shared ambiguous information regarding a new project on his Instagram profile. “I can confirm that I’m working with an iconic Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their iconic video game series into a series,” he wrote.

“On Nov 16 @ 1pm I’m going to announce what this is. I love you all. Thank you for following me on this journey. Entertaining you guys continues to be a privilege.”

He also wrote that the opportunity was down to his work on Castlevania and the show’s success.

The Legend Of Zelda is an action-adventure video game series created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. It has primarily been developed and published by Nintendo, but some portable instalments and rereleases have been outsourced to Capcom, Vanpool and Grezzo.

The games follow protagonist Link as he is often tasked with rescuing Princess Zelda and the kingdom of Hyrule from principle antagonist Ganon.

Castlevania is available to stream on Netflix now. Get all the latest fantasy news with every issue of SciFiNow.
