Grant Morrison bringing The Invisibles to TV with UCP

Grant Morrison is turning his comic series The Invisibles into a TV series for UCP

Scottish writer Grant Morrison is adapting his graphic novel The Invisibles into a TV series for Universal Cable Productions, according to Variety.

The news comes after an overall deal between UCP and Morrison to develop and produce original content for TV networks and streaming services. The partnership is also responsible for Syfy’s Happy! and the in-development adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World.

The Invisibles was created and scripted by Morrison and first published by Vertigo in 1994, with Vol. 3 of the story finally concluding in the summer of 2000.

The comic is set in 2020 and follows a single cell of The Invisible College, a secret organisation battling against physical and psychic oppression using time travel, meditation, magic and ultraviolence.

The Invisibles does not yet have an air date. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
