The CW making series based on Strange Case Of The Alchemist’s Daughter

The Strange Case Of The Alchemist’s Daughter by Theodora Goss is getting a TV series

The CW is currently developing a drama series based on Theodora Goss’s book The Strange Case Of The Alchemist’s Daughter.

The series will be “set in Victorian London where two radically different young women – one the daughter of Dr. Jekyll; the other, Mr. Hyde – discover they’re half-sisters when a series of gruesome murders appear connected to their deceased father. They unite with other unsung but remarkable daughters of famous literary figures to rise above societal norms and unearth the mystery of their origins.”

The show is hailing from The First writer AJ Marechal, producer Glenn Geller, Gotham Group and CBS TV Studios, which plays home to Geller’s production banner Gellervision.

Geller is set to executive produce alongside Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, DJ Goldberg and Eddie Gamarra of the Gotham Group.

The Strange Case Of The Alchemist’s Daughter was first published by Simon & Schuster in 2017. Goss’s other books include European Travel For The Monstrous Gentlewoman (the sequel to The Strange Case Of The Alchemist’s Daughter in the Extraordinary Adventures Of The Athena Club series), The Thorn And The Blossom: A Two-Sided Love Story (written with Scott Mckowen), In The Forest Of Forgetting and The Rose In Twelve Petals & Other Stories. Goss sure does like a good, long title.

The Strange Case Of The Alchemist’s Daughter doesn’t yet have an air date. Get all the latest fantasy news with every issue of SciFiNow.
