The full title of Warner Bros’ upcoming Harley Quinn spin-off film Birds Of Prey has been revealed and it’s quite a mouthful: Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn).
Star and producer Margot Robbie unveiled the title on her Instagram account this week. Check out the original post below:
So what do we all think? It’s extra and elaborate, much like Harley Quinn herself, so it really fits the film in that respect. But we also feel ridiculous saying it aloud, so we’re still on the fence. Maybe we’ll get used to it…
Cathy Yan is directing the film, while Robbie is producing through her LuckyChap Entertainment, alongside Sue Kroll for Kroll & Co. Entertainment and Bryan Unkeless for Clubhouse Pictures. The script has been written by Christina Hodson, who was also recently brought on to write the script for the Batgirl film.
Starring alongside Robbie as Harley Quinn are McGregor as Black Mask, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Dinah Lance/Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Helena Bertinelli/Huntress, and Ella Jay Basco as Batgirl/Cassandra Cain.
Birds Of Prey is in cinemas 7 February 2020. Get all the latest superhero news with every issue of SciFiNow.
