Men In Black spin-off film title is Men In Black International

Better late than never… The Men In Black spin-off film officially has a title: Men In Black International. Simple, but we like it. It does sound a bit like a shipping company, though.

The film is set to act as something of a reboot to the Men In Black trilogy. It’s not really a sequel but it will bring back Emma Thompson, who is reprising her MiB3 role of Agent O, the chief of the MiB, which ties all four films together.

Men In Black International will follow Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as Agents H and M respectively, a pair of London-based operatives, as they traverse the globe and get caught up in a worldwide murder mystery.

The film also stars Liam Neeson (TakenLove, Actually) as the head of the London branch of MiB and Kumail Ninjiani (The Big Sleep) as a character called Pawny, as well as Rebecca Ferguson (The Greatest Showman) and Rafe Spall (Life Of Pi) in undisclosed roles.

F Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) is directing, Walter F Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing, and Steven Spielberg is serving as executive producer. Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, both of whom worked on Iron Man and Transformers: The Last Knight, are writing the script.

Men In Black International will be in cinemas on 14 June 2019. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
