Netflix has finally rounded out the cast of its upcoming young adult supernatural drama series Chambers, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Joining the already-announced Uma Thurman (Kill Bill) and Tony Goldwyn (Scandal) are Sivan Alyra Rose, Lilliya Reid, Nicholas Galitzine (The Watcher In The Woods), Kyanna Simone Simpson (Black Lightning), Lilli Kay (Paterno), Sarah Mezzanotte (Blue Bloods) and Griffin Powell-Arcand.
According to THR, Chambers follows “a young heart attack survivor who becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life. The more she learns about her donor’s sudden death, the more she begins to take on characteristics of the dead girl — some of which are rather troubling.”
Newcomer Rose is leading the cast as Sasha Yazzie, the 17-year-old who receives a heart from a donor and starts to feel a darkness growing inside of her. Reid is playing Becky Lefevre, the heart donor and a suburban prom queen who dies in a tragic accident.
Galitzine is Becky’s twin brother Elliott, a nihilistic rich kid still distressed after his sister’s death, and the son of Thurman and Goldwyn’s characters.
Simpson is Sasha’s best friend Yvonne, Kay is Becky’s childhood best friend Penelope, Mezzanotte is a girl named Marnie, who replaces Becky in their high school’s pecking order following Becky’s death, and Powell-Arcand is Sasha’s track star boyfriend TJ.
The show was created by Leah Rachel. Rachel, Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, Winnie Kemp and Wolfgang Hammer of Super Deluxe, Jennifer Yale and Stephen Gaghan (via Super Emotional) are all executive producing.
