Disney+ is working on a Hawkeye TV series starring Jeremy Renner

Marvel is clearly experience some kind of separation anxiety when it comes to saying goodbye to its heroes following Avengers: Endgame: according to Variety, streamer Disney+ is working on a Hawkeye TV series, which is set to see Jeremy Renner back in his Avengers role.

The new series is just one of several Avengers projects set to stream on Disney+. Shows revolving around Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Vision and Scarlet Witch and Loki are also lined up. Each of the series are expected to be six to eight episodes long, and will see the original MCU actors reprise their roles.

The Hawkeye series will follow Renner as archery ace, Avenger and SHIELD agent Clint Barton as he passes the Hawkeye mantle onto Kate Bishop, a classic Marvel Comics character and member of the group known as the Young Avengers.

Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige will produce the series, but it does not yet have any other creatives attached.
