Snowpiercer new trailer gives a first look at TBS’ upcoming series


The first trailer for TBS’s upcoming TV series Snowpiercer landed this weekend, and it looks like it’s going all out. Based on both Bong Joon-ho’s 2013 film of the same name and the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette, the series picks up in a future during which the Earth’s temperature has plummeted far below zero and the remaining population must circle the globe in a train in order the survive.

Here’s the series synopsis:

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centres on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation.

The series was developed by Josh Friedman and stars Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Mickey Sumner, Annalise Basso, Sasha Frolova, Alison Wright, Benjamin Haigh, Roberto Urbina, Katie McGuinness, Susan Park, Lena Hall, Sheila Vand, Sam Otto, Iddo Goldberg and Jaylin Fletcher.
