Kevin Smith has joined Netflix’s upcoming sequel series to He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe as an executive producer. The series will be a follow-up to Filmation’s 1982 animated series, and will be titled Masters Of The Universe: Revelation.
The filmmaker announced his involvement with the series at Power-Con 2019 last weekend. He will also serve as showrunner, with Powerhouse (the company behind Netflix’s Castlemania) providing the animation.
Smith is best known for being one half of the stoner duo Jay and Silent Bob (as Silent Bob), and directing, writing and starring in films Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II.
