The Haunting Of Bly Manor casts Hill House star Henry Thomas

The Haunting Of Hill House star Henry Thomas will be returning for the second season of the Netflix horror anthology series, The Haunting Of Bly Manor. The news comes from creator Mike Flanagan this week, via his Twitter account.

“I’m beyond thrilled to announce that the inestimable, irreplaceable, invaluable Henry Thomas has joined the cast of The Haunting Of Bly Manor,” he tweeted.

He followed the announcement up with a note that he would be revealing more casting news for the season in the coming days, so keep your eyes peeled.

In Hill House, Thomas played young Hugh Crain, the patriarch of the Crain family and house-flipper extraordinaire who relocated the Crains to Hill House. The actor is also known for playing Elliott in ET: The Extra-Terrestrial and Father Tom Hogan in Ouija: Origin Of Evil

The Haunting Of Bly Manor will be based on Henry James’ novel The Turn Of The Screw.

Thomas joins a cast made up of his Hill House on-screen son Oliver Jackson-Cohen as a “charming fellow” named Peter, as well as his on-screen daughter Victoria Pedretti as a governess named Dani, “who takes care of two very unusual children.” Thomas’s character in Bly Manor is currently being kept under wraps.

The Haunting Of Bly Manor is set to premiere on Netflix in 2020. Get all the latest horror news with every issue of SciFiNow.
