Following this week’s news that actor Henry Thomas had joined the The Haunting Of Bly Manor, the second season of Netflix’s horror series The Haunting Of Hill House, creator Mike Flanagan has taken to Twitter again to reveal even more casting news.
Kate Siegel has officially boarded the new season, but the role she will be playing is remaining a secret for now.
“The Haunting wouldn’t be The Haunting without fan favourite Kate Siegel,” Flanagan tweeted, “…and I’m elated to confirm that she’ll be joining us at Bly Manor.”

In The Haunting Of Hill House, Siegel played Theodora “Theo” Crain, the middle child of the five Crain siblings and a child psychologist. Mckenna Grace played her younger counterpart.
Siegel is a well-known face to horror fans, and has appeared in Oculus, Hush (which she also co-wrote), Ouija: Origin Of Evil and Gerald’s Game. In real life, she is married to Flanagan, who directed all of the listed films.
The Haunting Of Bly Manor will be based on Henry James’ novel The Turn Of The Screw.
Siegel joins a cast made up of her Hill House on-screen father Henry Thomas, her on-screen brother Oliver Jackson-Cohen as a “charming fellow” named Peter, and her on-screen sister Victoria Pedretti as a governess named Dani, “who takes care of two very unusual children.”
The Haunting Of Bly Manor is set to premiere on Netflix in 2020. Get all the latest horror news with every issue of SciFiNow.
