The Suicide Squad casts Peter Capaldi and Pete Davidson

The Suicide Squad has added an ex-time lord, with Peter Capaldi reportedly boarding the cast, according to Deadline. There’s no word on who he will be playing.

The actor, who played the Twelfth Doctor in hit sci-fi series Doctor Who, is also know for his appearances in the likes of The Thick Of It and In The Loop, and for directing the Academy Award- and BAFTA-winning short film Franz Kafka’s It’s A Wonderful Life.

In addition to the news, Deadline is also reporting that Pete Davidson of Saturday Night Live is in talks for a role in The Suicide Squad.

The actors will join original Suicide Squad cast members Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, as well as David Dastmalchian as the Polka-Dot Man, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher, and Idris Elba, Taika Waititi and Nathan Fillion in undisclosed roles.

The Suicide Squad is being written and directed by James Gunn, and produced by Michael De Luca, Peter Safran, Deborah Snyder and Zack Snyder, with Lars P Winther serving as a co-producer.
