Marvel’s Loki series casts Sophia Di Martino

Now that Disney+ has launched in the US, as well as a couple of other countries, the streaming service seems to be getting a move on with some of its upcoming shows. Those shows include Marvel’s Loki, which has cast British actress Sophia Di Martino, according to Variety.

Di Martino’s role in the series is still unknown, but she will star opposite Tom Hiddleston in his role as Loki, the God of Mischief and Thor’s adopted brother.

Di Martino is known for her work in this year’s Danny Boyle comedy Yesterday, as well as Channel 4 series Flowers, AMC’s Into The Badlands, Sky’s Mount Pleasant and BBC One medical drama Casualty.

Loki has Rick And Morty‘s Michael Waldron on board to pen the series, which has Kate Herron attached the direct. Kevin Feige recently revealed that the series will tie into Doctor Strange sequel film Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

Loki is just one of several Marvel series Disney+ has in the works, alongside the likes of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, WandaVisionHawkeye and What If…?.
