Venom 2 casts Boardwalk Empire star Stephen Graham
Venom may have been slaughtered by critics last year but we at SciFiNow are obsessed with it, so any Venom 2 news is good news. The latest bit of good news is that the brilliant Stephen Graham has been added to the film’s cast.
Graham is best known for playing roles like Al Capone in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Andrew ‘Combo’ Gascoigne in This Is England (and the This Is England sequels), and Tommy in Snatch. He also recently appeared in The Irishman, Hellboy, Rocketman and Season 5 of BBC’s Line Of Duty.
There’s currently no word on who Graham will be playing in Venom 2, but we kind of hope it’s a villain.
Tom Hardy is set to reprise his role as Eddie Brock/Venom, while Michelle Williams is also returning as Anne Weyin, Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady/Carnage and Reid Scott as Dan Lewis. The film will also welcome Naomie Harris as Shriek.
Andy Serkis will be taking over from Ruben Fleischer on directing duties, and Venom co-writer Kelly Marcel is penning the script. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal are all returning as producers alongside Hutch Parker.
Venom 2 will be in cinemas in October 2020. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
