The Mandalorian adds Nick Nolte to the cast


Nick Nolte has joined the cast of upcoming Star Wars series The Mandalorian, reports Variety.

The actor, who is known for his work in films like WarriorThe Prince Of Tides and 48 Hrs., joins Pedro Pascal (NarcosGame Of Thrones) and Gina Carano (DeadpoolHaywire).

The new series has been penned by Jon Favreau, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels‘ Dave Filoni will be directing the first episode. Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa and Deborah Chow have all signed up to direct subsequent episodes.

Favreau and Filoni are also executive producing the show alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist will serve as a co-executive producer.

The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, and will follow the adventures of a lone gunfighter (Pascal) in the outer reaches of the galaxy, away from the authority of the New Republic. The show will air on Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+.
