The cast for Bill & Ted threequel Bill & Ted Face The Music keeps expanding, the latest additions being Kristen Schaal and Holland Taylor.
According to THR, Schaal (Bob’s Burgers, Gravity Falls) is set to play Kelly, a messenger from the future that brings word to Bill and Ted that their song can save a life and bring harmony to the universe.
Deadline brings word that Holland (Two And A Half Men, The Truman Show) will play a character called The Great Leader, the most powerful person in the universe.
They join a cast made up of Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves, who are reprising their roles as William ‘Bill’ S Preston Esq. and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan respectively, as well as Samara Weaving as Bill’s daughter Thea, Brigette Lundy-Paine as Ted’s daughter Billie, Jayma Mays as Bill’s wife Princess Joanna and Erinn Hayes as Ted’s wife Princess Elizabeth.
The film also stars Anthony Carrigan, William Sadler, Kid Cudi, Jillian Bell, Hal Landon Jr, Amy Stoch and Beck Bennett.
Bill & Ted Face The Music is set to revolve around middle-aged best friends Bill and Ted as they set out on a new adventure, with a little help from their daughters, old friends, historical figures and a few music legends.
Their adventure is inspired by a visit from someone from the future that tells them that their song can save a life and bring harmony to the universe.
The film, which will be the third instalment in the Bill & Ted saga, is being directed by Dean Parisot from a screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Scott Kroopf is production alongside Alex Lebovici and Steve Ponce for Hammerstone Studios, and Steven Soderbergh is serving as an executive producer with John Ryan Jr, Scott Fischer and John Santilli.
