Fans of Netflix’s 2017 comedy-horror film The Babysitter can start looking forward to a sequel, according to Bloody Disgusting. The new film is being fast-tracked by the streamer, and already has original director McG lined up to return.
The Babysitter followed a 12-year-old boy who’s in love with his babysitter, only to find that she’s part of a satanic cult and wants to kill him.
The film starred Samara Weaving (Home & Away) as Bee, the babysitter and Judah Lewis (Demolition) as Cole Johnson, the 12-year-old boy, as well as Hana Mae Lee, Robbie Amell, Andrew Bachelor, Emily Alyn Lind, Leslie Bibb, Ken Marino, Doug Haley, Miles J Harvey, Chris Wylde and Ron Funches.
The sequel hasn’t announced its cast yet, but there is one new name involved behind the scenes: Dan Lagana (the writer-producer of Netflix’s excellent mockumentary series American Vandal) is set to join the film as a screenwriter.
