After it was repeatedly hailed has one of the best Spider-Man films of all time, many superhero movie fans are understandably keen to get back to the world of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Those fans will be thrilled to know that the film’s sequel finally has a release date: 8 April 2022.

April 2022 might feel like a long way away, but the untitled Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse sequel is set to arrive in cinemas a month ahead of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther 2.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse featured the voices of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales/Spider-Man, Liev Schreiber as Kingpin, Mahershala Ali as Uncle Aaron, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson, Luna Lauren as Rio, Lily Tomlin as Aunt May, Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen, Jake Johnson as Peter Parker, Kimiko Glenn as SP//dr aka Peni Parker, John Mulaney as Spider-Ham and Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir.
The film was directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman from a script written by Phil Lord. Lord produced the film alongside Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Christopher Miller and Christina Steinberg.
