Holy preview, Batman! More than three years after the news of its conception, we finally have a first look at DC’s live-action Teen Titans series Titans.
The first look comes in the form of a pic of Brenton Thwaites (Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Gods Of Egypt) as Dick Grayson, AKA Robin of Batman and Robin.
As you can no doubt see, the series seems to be talking a slightly darker route than that of the animated TV series so we can likely expect a lot more teen angst. Robin’s suit was designed by costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, who has worked on films like Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Iron Man and The Jungle Book.
Joining Thwaites on the Titans cast are Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove and Lindsey Gort as police detective Amy Rohrbach.
The pilot episode was written by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti. A director is yet to be announced. The series is being produced by Weed Road Pictures, Berlanti Productions, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros Television. It will air on DC’s own direct-to-consumer digital service.
