The IT sequel casts two more of the Adult Losers
Casting on the second half of IT is in full swing, as two more of the grown-up members of the Losers’ Club have been found.
First up: James Ransone (The Wire, Generation Kill, Sinister) has signed on to play the adult version of the hypochondriac Eddie Kaspbrak. The actor tweeted the news (a tweet which has since been deleted), but the casting has been confirmed by various sources (including Deadline) since then. With a lot of range and a great comedic ability, he’s a great choice for the part.
Hot on the heels of that came the news that Andy Bean will be playing Stan the man Uris. Variety reported that the star of Here And Now and Power has snapped up the role. Everyone who is familiar with the book knows the part Eddie plays, and we’re excited to see how Andy Muschietti and the team bring that to life.
Ransone and Uris join Jessica Chastain (Beverly), James McAvoy (Bill) and Bill Hader (Richie). Gary Dauberman is back on scripting duties and, of course, Bill Skarsgard is back as Pennywise the dancing clown.
It: Chapter 2 is released on 6 September 2019. Keep up with the latest horror news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
