Skins’ Kaya Scodelario is set to star in Alexandre Aja’s horror Crawl
Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) is currently in negotiations to star in upcoming horror-thriller Crawl, according to THR.
The story follows “a young woman [Scodelario] who, while struggling to save her father during a Category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped inside a flooding house and fighting for her life against Florida’s most savage and feared predators.”
Crawl is set to be helmed by Alexandre Aja, the director of Horns and Piranha 3D, so it’s sure to pack a few jump scares. Aja wrote a fair chunk of the most recent draft of the film, which was initially written as a spec by Shawn and Michael Rasmussen, for studio Paramount.
Evil Dead and Spider-Man‘s Sam Raimi is acting as a producer with Craig J Flores.
