Huge news for fans of the FX anthology series American Horror Story: Season 8 is set to be a Coven/Murder House crossover. Creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the news this week on Twitter:

“The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won’t be happening next year… because it’s happening THIS YEAR,” he wrote. “AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER.”
For those unfamiliar, ‘Murder House’ was the theme of American Horror Story Season 1 (taking place in a haunted family mansion in Los Angeles), while ‘Coven’ was the theme of Season 3 (which followed a coven of young witches from New Orleans).
AHS regulars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates are set to lead the cast of Season 8.
