Netflix and Blumhouse working on Indian horror mini-series Ghoul


Netflix and Blumhouse are collaborating on the streaming service’s first Indian horror series

Following on from its first ever Indian original film Sacred Games, Netflix has just announced that it is collaborating with Jason Blum’s Blumhouse for a new Indian mini-series, Ghoul.

The series is set to hit the streaming service on 24 August and will consist of three episodes directed and written by Patrick Graham.

According to Deadline, Ghoul “focuses on a prisoner who arrives at a remote military interrogation centre and turns the tables on his interrogators, exposing their most shameful secrets with a supernatural twist.” Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul star.

Alongside Blumhouse, Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films (Sacred Games) and Ivanhoe are also producing.

Netflix International Originals director Simran Sethi said: “Ghoul is a thrilling horror series, both frightening and insightful. Its high production value, a chilling performance from Radhika Apte, and quality writing are sure to scare Indian and global audiences alike.”
